Twinkies were originally filled with banana

cream until a banana shortage forced them

to change to vanilla. Hence "had its origins

here."

There is no doubt in my mind what the mystery flavor is...

It's banana cream pie. 100000% not a doubt in my mind.

Plus, they just taste like banana Laffy Taffy, almost exactly if you let the sour powder dissolve before tasting it.
